CM Punk falls victim to a gruesome and graphic beatdown by MJF

Tonight’s Dynamite witnessed Punk offer MJF some advice regarding how the latter needs to control his anger. The veteran Punk would mention that all the anger would eventually destroy MJF.

MJF would go on to hug Punk and everything looked fine until the 25-year-old struck a low blow. Friedman cut a babyface-like promo last week, saying how Punk was an inspiration to him when he was growing up.

All of that went down the drain as Friedman used the Dynamite Diamond Ring to bust Punk wide open. He would call upon the rest of The Pinnacle – Shawn Spears, Wardlow and FTR. MJF would deliver the Heat Seeker and have Punk reeling.

MJF would then, go on to throw Punk out of the ring. Shawn Spears wrapped the dog collar around Punk’s neck while Max grabbed a mic, and quoted Punk’s memorable heel turn at the beginning of the original ‘Summer of Punk‘. Max said: “You stupid, stupid old man. I’m a snake. The greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing the world he doesn’t exist and this Sunday at Revolution, I am going to show you and all these mindless sheep that I am the devil himself.”

Shawn Spears would then pull the chain inside the ring, choking Punk using the ropes, who still had the dog collar around his neck.

Sting, Sammy Guevara and Darby Allin scrambled out to intervene, but the damage had been done, as Punk was left covered in his own blood.

AEW’s Revolution 2022 pay-per-view takes place this Sunday

The forthcoming pay-per-view of AEW will be held at the Additional Financial Arena at the University of Central Florida in Orlando.
