Thunder Rosa defeated Britt Baker in a steel cage match on AEW Dynamite to start her first reign as the AEW Women’s World Champion.
Thunder Rosa and Britt Baker were the first women to main event Dynamite on March 17, 2021. Rosa defeated Baker in a physical Unsanctioned Lights Out match which was highly acclaimed. This week, the two immensely talented women once again featured in the main event of Dynamite. They delivered another classic as the brutal match saw many weapons being used by both competitors.
The intense match witnessed both wrestlers covered in blood. Baker hit an Air Raid crash on Rosa onto a stack of chairs. Rosa took a painful bump on thumbtacks. Rosa also had her moments as she pummeled Baker onto the steel cage. She dropped baker from the ropes on a pile of steel chairs.
The hard-fought match ended when Rosa hit the Fire Thunder Driver into the thumbtacks and secured the pin.

The wrestling world is in awe of what they witnessed in the main event of Dynamite this week. It’s not that they expect less from the two superwomen but they always surpass expectations.
The former mixed martial artist got very close to winning her first AEW Women’s World Championship at Revolution pay-per-view but distractions from Jamie Hayter and Rebel on the referee cost her the win.
Rosa defeated Leyla Hirsch last week on Dynamite to become the no.1 contender for the AEW Women’s World Championship. Rosa succeeded in her quest for her first title since her arrival on AEW this week. Britt Baker deserves a lot of credit too for her performance as the champion. She had won the title at Double or Nothing on May 30 last year.
