Ric Flair might be the next big star to move to Tony Khan’s AEW

‘The Nature Boy’ Ric Flair was released from the WWE on the 3rd of August, after it was reported that he had asked for the same.

Flair had been a part of the WWE for almost 20 years, and had been appearing in a managerial role over the past few years.

Following his release, he made his Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide debut by accompanying Andrade El Idolo for his match against Kenny Omega at Triplemania XXIX.

The WWE Hall of Famer also made his NWA return. Flair’s appearance at NWA 73 was his first-ever appearance in the promotion since 2008.

Now that Flair is a free agent, it has got fans wondering as to where he will be heading, next. AEW, which has been roping in massive stars (especially former WWE superstars), seems to be the likely destination.

His recent post alongside one of the most popular AEW stars also seems to hint that Flair might be on his way to Tony Khan’s promotion.

It is worth noting that, Flair does not have a 90-day non-compete clause like other released WWE superstars have.

Ric Flair posts a video of himself alongside Orange Cassidy

AEW Superstar Orange Cassidy considered to be one of the most famous AEW superstars, was seen alongside Ric Flair in a video posted by the ‘Nature Boy’ himself on his YouTube channel (TikTok as well).

The video shows Cassidy handing out a pair of shades, with Flair putting it on and shouting his trademark “Woo”.

It ends with Cassidy showing a thumbs-up sign.
