CM Punk seems set to make his AEW debut and an NFL programme hinted at the same recently

CM Punk going to AEW has to be one of the biggest rumours doing the rounds at the moment.

While the news has not been confirmed officially, Ringside News has claimed that the Best in the World is heading to Tony Khan’s promotion.

However, the date of Punk’s AEW debut is yet to be confirmed too. That might have slipped out during some commentary during an NFL game (h/t Ringside news).

Adam Rank was speaking and claimed that Punk’s debut is the “most anticipated debut in Chicago” despite Justin Fields making his NFL debut.

This was a comparison to Fields’ debut for the Chicago Bears but it seems that Punk is a bigger name, or so what some people think.

It is to be seen when Punk does make his AEW debut but it seems that August 20th’s AEW show is when the former WWE Champion will make his presence felt.

CM Punk to feature on TV regularly

The report also adds that Punk is to wrestle around 10-12 matches per year, according to his AEW contract.

However, that doesn’t mean the former WWE star won’t be on TV. He is expected to feature on AEW TV regularly and it will be interesting to see how all of this plays out.

AEW has signed many former WWE talents but this could be the biggest one yet. Punk is still regarded as one of the best to have ever wrestled, and even though he has been away for a while, he should be able to do a great job in the ring.

Punk is also trying to do a lot of acting now, and the lighter AEW schedule could help him out with that.
