Malakai Black made his AEW on the July 7 episode of AEW Dynamite
What an unbelievable couple of months it has been for Malakai Black aka Aleister Black. The former WWE star made a return to the WWE in the month of April after a brief hiatus.
Just when it seemed like the promotion was ready to give him a massive push, he was released on the 2nd of June, out of the blue.
It came as a shock to many. However, just a month later, he has found a new home in AEW.
Black debuted under the name Malakai Black on the 7th of July in an episode of AEW Dynamite. He attacked both Arn Anderson and Cody Rhodes, with his trademark finisher – Black Mass.
The fans went wild on seeing Black appear out of nowhere and attack both Rhodes and Anderson.
Following his debut, fellow AEW star Lance Archer called out Black. He welcomed the former WWE man to the AEW, and stated that it would be ‘insane’ if they fought someday.
Malakai Black responds with an interesting Robert Jordan quote
All Malakai Black did was respond to Lance Archer with only a long quote. He quoted notable American Author, Robert Jordan who is well known for authoring books like ‘The Dragon Reborn’, ‘The Eye of the World’.
Black’s tweet read:
“If you must mount the gallows, give a jest to the crowd, a coin the hangman, and make the drop with a smile on your lips.”
Black is an immensely talented wrestler and has very often proved that in the WWE. It will be interesting to see how his career in the AEW shapes up.
