AEW star MJF and Tony Khan have been going through some issues over some months. Here is the latest update on that

President Tony Khan and AEW superstar MJF had had some issues between them over the past few months, especially when The Salt of the Earth commented he would go “wherever the money is”.

MJF vowed to take AEW to the pinnacle of sports entertainment

Just a day before Double or Nothing, The Salt of the Earth is ready to depart from the venue in Las Vegas. These issues seem to be due to the disagreement about MJF’s new deal. His current agreement is set to expire in 2024.

The two reportedly had a heated discussion in March 2022 as Khan was unhappy about Max openly discussing his contract without notifying AEW’s PR team.

Maxwell even recently tweeted “F*ck this place” and quickly deleted the statement. This was concerning Khan, who said earlier that it was good that genuine conflict was being used in MJF’s storyline with Wardlow.

According to PWInsider, The Long-Islander did not attend the event on his own intentions and wasn’t picking calls either. The report also added that MJF was playing casino at Mandalay Bay instead.

Fans who picked tickets to see and have his signature got their refunds which cost $100. He was initially slated to have a meet and greet from 12:45 am till 2:15 pm with Team Taz, Swerve Strickland and Keith Lee.

MJF reportedly booked a flight out of Las Vegas

Amidst all the controversy going around The Salt of the Earth’s no-show at the AEW Fan Fest Meet and Greet, another report states a scheduled flight for him out of Las Vegas.

According to Fightful Select, The Long-Islander was physically fine despite not appearing for the event. He will be booked for a late Saturday night flight out of the city. However, PWInsider confirmed that the scheduled flight would head to Newark, New Jersey.

I can confirm a flight out of Las Vegas tonight has been booked for MJF.

A new report also states that MJF was not on the plane.

It will be interesting to see whether he will show up at the pay-per-view tonight and whether WWE will come into the picture now?
