Current AEW Superstar Jeff Hardy was arrested a few minutes after midnight last night in Volusia County, Florida. This comes as another blow to the legendary athlete and his fans. As per Volusia County, Florida jail records, Hardy has been charged with Driving While License Canceled/Suspended/Revoked of Restrictions Placed on Drivers License, and DUI Alcohol/Drugs Third Offense within 10 Years.

As of Monday, the multiple-time Tag Team Champion was still in custody at the S. James Foxman Justice Center in Daytona Beach, Florida. Hardy’s first hearing will be at 1:30 PM tomorrow. The former WWE Superstar received a cash bond of $3500 – $500 for the license charges, and $2500 for the DUI.

This is not the first time Hardy has had a run-in with the law. He has been arrested on three occasions in the past. In 2009 he was arrested for the first time. This was on charges of trafficking in controlled prescription pills and pled guilty in 2010.

In October 2011, Hardy was once again arrested and kept in jail for 10 days. There were 30 months of probation and the fine was $100,000.

Hardy was arrested a couple of times in 2019. The first one was back in July 2019, and the second one was in October of the same year. In July, he was arrested for public intoxication while in October, he was driving while impaired.

What is next for Jeff Hardy in AEW?

There has been no reaction from AEW or Tony Khan regarding Jeff Hardy’s arrest as of now. Hardy made his AEW debut on the episode of Dynamite following the AEW Rampage event.

Jeff Hardy and his brother Matt Hardy are scheduled to team up and compete in a Triple Threat Ladder Match. The other two teams are The Young Bucks and AEW World Tag Team Champions Jurassic Express at Wednesday’s Road Rager edition of AEW Dynamite near St. Louis.

The Hardy Boyz have been tag team champions in almost every promotion they have wrestled in. They would be looking forward to becoming AEW World Tag Team Champions as well. However, Jeff Hardy’s arrest may have derailed that ambition for a while now.
