AEW doesn’t seem to be an option for Heath Slater

Heath Slater took to Twitter as he called AEW head Cody Rhodes a bad businessman.

Rhodes earlier said that AEW were not keen on hiring Slater after he was released by WWE.

Heath Slater was among the names WWE released this month. It was a sad day for the company as they still grind away through a pandemic.

Heath Slater was one of eight FCW wrestlers to compete on the first season of the new NXT show, with Christian as his storyline mentor.

On the inaugural episode of NXT, Slater debuted as a face as he and Christian defeated Carlito and Michael Tarver in a tag team match. Two weeks later, Slater defeated Carlito, becoming the first NXT rookie to defeat a WWE pro.

He formed a formidable tag team partnership with Rhyno and even won the gold. However, on April 15, 2020, Slater was released from his WWE contract due to budget cuts resulting from the 2019–20 coronavirus pandemic.

A few former WWE stars are already on AEW such as Luke Harper and Jack Swagger, while Cody was also on WWE.

However, for now, it seems that the door to AEW is closed for Slater.

Cody has his say on Archer

After wreaking havoc in NJPW in his biggest singles run yet, Lance Archer signed with AEW. He aligned himself with Jake ‘The Snake’ Roberts and looks set to destroy all of AEW.

There is one man, in particular, he wants a piece of, that being Cody Rhodes.

Cody, in a recent interview, opened up about Archer and said that he does not like Archer. But at the same time, he said that he was happy that Lance is a part of AEW. Archer signed with AEW in February, then quickly added Jake Roberts as his advisor.

Archer will face Cody in the finals of the TNT Championships, and that should be an interesting battle.
