Vickie Guerrero ‘thrilled’ after Andrade El Idolo debuts on AEW

Andrade El Idolo made his debut on AEW and promised the roster that he would become the next face of AEW. His debut was announced by none other than legendary manager, Vickie Guerrero. She interrupted the introduction of Mark Henry to drop the bomb on the wrestling world.

Guerrero took to Twitter to celebrate the arrival, saying: (translated)

“My life is complete with Andrade… Time to win the nights”

WWE released Andrade in March. In his time, he won the NXT Championship and moved to RAW, where he was a United States Champion.

Reports suggested that Andrade was earning a sum of $3 million per year as part of his WWE contract but he denied those.

Andrade finally made his debut on AEW last night

Andrade was a popular figure in places like Mexico and Japan, where he was also a founding part of Los Ingobernables. He was a masked character named La Sombra.

The Mexican was booked in poor feuds and didn’t deliver to his potential. The frustration caused him to miss various PPVs towards the end and his exit came to a swift end.

Will Vickie Guerrero Unlock Andrade’s True Potential ?

Vickie Guerrero is another high-profile name to have stepped foot in AEW. She left WWE in 2014, after various disagreements with the WWE staff. She was the manager for wrestlers like Dolph Ziggler, who had long feuds with 16-time Champion John Cena.

Vickie, as the manager of Andrade El Idolo, could take him to new heights in AEW. His performances could make him one of the greats, especially after his fight with Kenny Omega scheduled in August at TripleMania XXIX.

Guerrero was a household name in WWE

Guerrero created a legacy along with her husband, Eddie Guerrero who passed away tragically in 2005. She continued with WWE and became famous as a ‘heel’ manager.

After leaving WWE, Cody Rhodes and Dean Malenko convinced her to return to live TV. She has since then continued her managerial brilliance and hopefully allies with Andrade to make him one of the powerhouses in the wrestling world.
