Dustin Rhodes remembered Brodie Lee aka Jonathan Huber on his first year death anniversary

It has been over a year since Brodie Lee aka Jonathan Huber passed away. The former WWE and AEW star died (at the age of 41) on the 26th of December, 2020 due to a lung issue (Idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis).

Lee was best remembered for his time as Luke Harper in the WWE. He was an integral part of the Wyatt Family.

He was released from the WWE in December 2019 and only three months from then, Huber made his debut as Brodie Lee at AEW Dynamite.

After having stayed undefeated for weeks, Lee got his shot at the AEW World Championship (against Jon Moxley). He lost the title match and then went on to challenge for the AEW TNT Championship. He won the title after beating Cody Rhodes and held the title for 55 days.

In the wake of Lee aka Huber’s first year death anniversary, a fan tweeted that he had rewatched Dustin Rhodes vs Lee at AEW Dynamite in September 2020.

Lee was successful in beating Rhodes to defend his TNT Championship.

The fan’s Tweet read:

“Rewatched #BrodieLee vs. @dustinrhodes this afternoon. Such a fantastic match. #BrodieLeeForever.”

Dustin Rhodes thanks fan for his acknowledgement

Dustin Rhodes, quote tweeting the same, thanked the fan for his acknowledgement.

“Thank You,” Rhodes wrote:

It is worth noting that Rhodes has been a part of the AEW since 2019. He made his AEW Dynamite debut in October 2019.
