Britt Baker reacts as CM Punk puts her in AEW’s Four Pillars

Wrestling star CM Punk said that Britt Baker has replaced MJF as one of AEW’s four pillars on Wednesday night Dynamite. Baker is the reigning AEW Women’s World Champion who has established herself to be a top star in the company.

Punk said: “You’re too busy talking about the four pillars, you don’t even realize you’ve been replaced by Britt Baker.”

Soon after that, Baker took to Twitter and posted a message for him: “Thanks @CMPunk. #4pillars Now put me on the shirt. @ShopAEW #AEWDynamite”

AEW has a brilliant roster up their arsenal that features an outstanding blend of established talent and rising stars. And the most famous of those are the Four Pillars of All Elite Wrestling. Maxwell Jacob Friedman, also known as MJF, started the group on air a few months ago. It also consists of Sammy Guevara, Jungle Boy, and Darby Allin.

These men will surely be there in company in the coming decade or so and AEW has never been shy to highlight that fact. So for sure this reference to Baker by Punk can be seen as a huge complement.

Britt Baker criticizes WWE’s developmental system

Baker earlier this month was quite vocal about the current system of the WWE following the remarks made by WWE President Nick Khan’s comments on NXT’s overhaul. Khan insisted that WWE would be focusing on younger talent to mold in the WWE style.

Baker was certainly not impressed by those remarks and said:

“I don’t think putting a bunch of models and athletes off the street in a warehouse and teaching them all to do the same thing the same way at the same time is going to create a successful roster.

“People learn differently and they have different strengths and weaknesses, and sometimes you have to find out what those are on your own.”

Baker made her professional wrestling debut at an International Wrestling Carte and soon joined WWE in 2016. She was there for around three year before signing for AEW in 2019.
