However, after the match, Adam Cole made his way to the ring, grabbed the AEW World title, and hung it over Page’s shoulder, which made the commentary team discuss the possibility of him as the next contender for the title.

Cole took to Twitter and posted a picture of him carrying the title with Adam Page covered in blood. He mentioned congratulations to Page.

Page did some unfair play before the match and started by attacking Lance Archer backstage and throwing him through plate glass in the very first minutes of the Texas Death Match.

A Buckshot Lariat by Page nearly ended the match in the very first moments, but Dan Lambert rushed to the ring and undid the top turnbuckle, saving Archer.

Archer came back and dominated the bout and threatened to drive him through two tables at ringside. Page even teased a Deadeye through the tables, but Archer cut it.

After the break, we saw that Jake “The Snake” Roberts delivered a short-arm clothesline. However, Pag responded by providing the DDT. Page returned many kendo sticks shots to the body, but Archer came back strongly by driving him with a chokeslam through a trash can.

Page recovered and wrapped Archer with a barbed wire and rocked him twice. He also delivered a big German suplex and used the referee to give the Buckshot Lariat.

Paul Turner counted and got Page the victory to retain his title.
