Page agreed and said that the two of them will have a Texas Deathmatch next week when AEW Rampage heads to Texas.

Samoa Joe versus Max Carter (Owen Hart Tournament Qualifier)

Samoa Joe delivered an enziguri and then chopped at the back of Caster. He followed it up with an elbow drop. Joe took out The Acclaimed with a tope suicida outside the ring with only Anthony Bowens evading.

Joe focused on Bowens and this allowed Caster to take advantage from behind. A few more chops from Caster but Joe used his power to hit the Muscle Buster for the three count.

After the match Jay Lethal and Sanjay Dutt said that they will roll the red carpet and give a present that Joe will never forget.

Shawn Spears versus Capt. Shawn Dean

Spears takes control of the match but a video is shown on the Titantron of the backstage area where security personnel had been taken out. The camera pans on Wardlow demolishing any security staff getting in his way.

The powerhouse Wardlow comes to the ringside but more security staff hold him back. The distraction though, helped as Dean got the pin over Spears with a roll-up.

Eddie Kingston, Santana, and Ortiz make their way to the ring

Firstly we saw a segment from early on in the night where the faces had a brawl with Jericho Appreciation Society before Jericho and company drove out of the arena.

Kingston and his group entered the ring and called Jericho a two-faced coward. Ortiz challenged Jericho and his men to a six-man tag team match.

The Butcher and The Blade versus The Hardys – Tables match

Butcher and Blade introduced a good number of tables in the ring and broke the legs of one to use them as weapons. Blade rushed towards Jeff but the latter sidestepped as Blade crashed in. There was a rule that a wrestler had to legitimately go through a table courtesy a maneuver from his opponent to end the match and just going through the tables won’t be ending the encounter.

Matt was suplexed out on the floor where a table is laid but Jeff was quick to push away the table before Matt landed. Jeff and Matt delivered Twist of Fate to Blade. The Hardys then brought a ladder into the mix and set Blade on a table below. The Charismatic Enigma hit the Swanton bomb through the table for the win.

Result – The Hardys beat The Butcher and The Blade

Hikaru Shida versus Julia Hart (Owen Hart Tournament Qualifier)

Hart started strong as she attacked Shida from behind. Shida dropped Hart onto the turnbuckle and then delivered a dropkick off a chair. Julia took back control of the match with lethal strikes. Shida also brought out her heaviest hits and then delivered a suplex before hitting the knee strike.

Hikaru finished the fast-paced match with a back fist and a spinning knee strike followed by a Falcon Arrow. She became the second woman to advance to the Owen Hart Tournament after Toni Storm managed to qualify last week after beating The Bunny.

Result – Hikaru Shida beat Julia Hart

FTR (C) versus The Young Bucks- ROH/AAA Tag Team Title Match

Certainly the match of the night and a worthy main event. FTR went for the Big Rig relatively early on in the match but Nick evaded. The referee was distracted by Nick and that allowed Matt to hit a low blow. They executed their own version of Big Rig but Wheeler didn’t give up.

Nick and Dax started a tug of war with the title belt. Nick got hold of it but hit Cash in the head inadvertently. BTE Trigger to Cash but the wily wrestler got his foot on the rope. FTR delivered a powerbomb/tombstone combination and nailed Matt with a BTE Trigger. A Big Rig sealed the deal for the champions as they retained once again.

Result – FTR beat The Young Bucks
