After the massive success of AEW Rampage last week, which got some excellent ratings, it was the time for Dynamite which had some intense matches like the one featuring Orange Cassidy and Adam Cole. Finally, the Ladder match determined the undisputed TNT champion between Cody Rhodes and Sammy Guevara. Let us find out the results, winners of this week’s AEW Dynamite.

1.Ladder Match for the TNT Championship: Cody Rhodes vs Sammy Guevara 

Sammy Guevara recently became the interim TNT Champion in the absence of Cody Rhodes, who was the rightful champion. They take on a ladder match to determine the undisputed champion. This was also the kick-off event.

Rhodes got the upper hand as he dominated the match from the beginning and took the fight to the floor, but it was just a matter of time for Guevara to break his momentum with a cutter on the floor.

The American Nightmare delivered an inspiring suplex from the ladder. Rhodes sent The Spanish God’s midsection-first onto the steel bars of the ladder. 

The wrestlers were spread across two ladders as Rhodes delivered the Cross Rhodes to climb the ladder. However, Guevara somehow joined Rhodes on the ladder. Both men dangled from the belt holder and crashed into the mat below.

The turning point in the match came when Guevara wiped out Rhodes with a dive then downed him with GTH on the floor. Both men climbed the ladder somehow and fought at the top when Guevara hit Rhodes with one of the belts knocking him to the mat to finally secure the titles and win the biggest match of his career.

Result: Guevara defeated Rhodes to become undisputed TNT champion

2. Wardlow vs Elijah Dean 

Wardlow has one of the most considerable times in his career as he kept blasting his opponents with brutal force. Finally, he returned to his hometown Cleveland for this match and gave two powerbombs to each and a fifth to Alexander onto Dean to pick up the win.

Result: Wardlow defeated Alexander and Dean

3. Trios Match: Chris Jericho, Santana and Ortiz vs 2point0 and Daniel Garcia

The rivalry between Chris Jericho and the trios continued this week on Dynamite, but it became a dysfunction between Le Champion and teammates Sanatana and Ortiz.

Ortiz spent the match isolated from his team and inched towards the corner. He tagged Sanatana instead of Jericho first up. They took down the opposition without any help from the faction’s leader.

Jericho took down Jeff Parker to the floor and delivered Judas Effect to Matt Lee, allowing Santana to win by pinfall.

Result: Jericho, Santana and Ortiz defeated 2point0 and Garcia

4. CM Punk had a verbal showdown with MJF

CM Punk and MJF finally had the verbal showdown as Punk called out MJF to the ring, and after a few knocks, the loudmouth heel appeared and finally agreed to face Punk next week in Chicago. He said Punk would lose in his hometown and then leave again and cry on a podcast.

Punk called MJF a fan and claimed fans don’t love him because he wins or hates him because he loses. They love him as he always gets back up.

“It’s so apropos that the same place your journey began is the same place it ends. So I’ll see you in Chicago!” MJF said as he ended the segment.

5. Red Velvet vs “Legit Leyla Hirsch

Hirsch took the upper hand and dominated early. However, Velvet attempted a comeback. Hirsch tried to force a tap out with the Legit Lock, but Velvet somehow made it to the ropes.

A resorted rollup gave Hirsch the win in the end, and after the match, she further attacked Velvet, but Kris Statlander came to the rescue.

Result: Hirsch defeated Velvet.

6. Dr Britt Baker DMD Promo

Dr Britt Baker DMD came to the ring and talked about her recent accomplishments, including Pro Wrestling Illustrated awards and two covers.

7. AEW Dynamite Main Event – Lights Out Match: Orange Cassidy vs Adam Cole 

This week’s main event featured the intense battle between Orange Cassidy and Adam Cole as they face off in a Lights Outmatch.

Cassidy took the fight to Cole as he crashed his sunglasses to show how serious he was towards the match. Indie Wrestler and social media icon Danhausen appeared, only to get a massive ovation from the fans. 

Orange took control of the match but only for a matter of time as Cole went crashing into the steel steps and targeted his hands. Cole was in total dominance first up. 

Cassidy made his comeback with the use of a fire extinguisher. He tried for a brainbuster into the two steel chairs, but Organs somehow countered with Sundog Millionaire, and then he drove Cole through the tables with a Michinoku Driver for a two count. Cole called for Brandon Cutler, but he was wiped out by Wheeler Yuta.

Bobby Fish wiped him out only for Chuck Taylor to return the about. The Young Bucks smashed Taylor and joined Cole for a triple superkick.

Fired up, Cassidy delivered the Orange Punch injuring the hand. However, Cole tried for a low blow, but Cassidy provided Panama Sunrise for a really close two. He then wrapped a steel chain around his fist for an Orange Punch, but Cole bailed to the floor.

Cole came back strong and drove his opponent through the table with a Death Valley Driver but only for a two count. Cassidy caught him with a superkick, tried to reapply the chain but ran directly into a stage light.

Adam lost track of his opponent, who had followed him up and delivered a well-timed low blow. However, Cassidy hugged Cole and drove him from that height through the stage for the win.

Result: Cassidy defeated Cole.
