Rita Chatterton, who became a licensed wrestling referee in New York in 1984 and had previously accused McMahon of forcing himself on her in a limo in 1992. Her allegations were corroborated by former pro wrestler Leonard Inzitari in a new report by New York Magazine.

In the new Observer’s Daily Update, Dave Meltzer notes that neither WWE nor Jerry McDevitt has commented on the updated Vince McMahon rape allegation. Meltzer speculates that’s because the media hasn’t picked up the story, so it “doesn’t appear to be harmful to McMahon’s position right now.”

2. Reaction to John Cena’s return

John Cena made his much-awaited return to WWE on Monday Night RAW this evening In Texas. It was the 20th-anniversary celebration of The Cenation. His return was welcomed by everyone in the building and multiple backstage bits throughout the show.

“Thank you, Cena” chants rang out through the arena. First, he got emotional, thanking the fans for teaching him how to be a better professional and a better man. Then, he made like he was uncertain when he would wrestle again.

According to WrestleVotes:

“John Cena’s return excited the WWE locker room, and Cena is viewed as the ultimate leader, with his positive presence felt throughout the company when he’s around.”
