WWE SmackDown Superstar Zelina Vega promises stellar Money in the Bank match
Returning WWE Superstar Zelina Vega has promised that something crazy will happen during the WWE Women’s Money in the Bank ladder match.
Vega returned to WWE SmackDown to face Liv Morgan in a singles match after her release in 2020. Sonya Deville announced that Vega will be part of the Money in the Bank ladder match, with seven other female Superstars.
Vega is now going to be looking to make the most of every opportunity during the match and retrieve the briefcase from the top of the ladder.
She earlier revealed on Talking Smack which champion she would challenge if she wins the match, saying: (h/t LovebyLife )
“I think I have some unfinished business with Bianca. If she is even gonna remain champion…although I’m not really fond of Bayley either. Whoever it’s gonna be, that’s who I have my eyes on right now. I can take them all, it’s fine!”
Vega will join Naomi, Asuka, Liv Morgan, Alexa Bliss, Nikki Cross in the ladder match from both brands.
Why was Zelia Vega released?
Vega was released controversially after she violated a few terms of her contract. Her account on OnlyFans was against the policy of the company and she was let go. Since her release, she has seen her husband quit and join rivals AEW this week.
Vega‘s return coincides with Black debuting on AEW Dynamite this week. She will look to have a good run leading to a title shot. She was previously the manager of Andrade El Idolo before switching to a Superstar.
The roster on WWE SmackDown was lacking talent, but it looks like her presence is going to change things up. The ladder match will be an important determiner for the holder of the contract in the next 12 months.
