Three ideal destinations for Sevilla midfielder Steven N’Zonzi

According to the Mirror, Sevilla midfielder Steven N’Zonzi has been linked with an exit from the club. The Frenchman was impressive for the Spanish outfit throughout the whole of last season. The midfielder also won the World Cup in Russia with the French national team.

He’s a wanted man across Europe right now but a number of teams might be unwilling to meet his £35million release clause. The Spanish outfit are adamant that any club who wish to sign the player must pay his release clause in order to do so. (h/t Mirror)

There’s barely a week left for the transfer window to shut, which means there isn’t a lot of time for teams. Here, we take a look at three clubs that would be ideal for the French powerhouse.

Arsenal

The Gunners have been linked with the former Stoke man and Unai Emery must fill the void left by Jack Wilshere and Santi Cazorla. (h/t Metro)

Arsenal have already signed the likes of Lucas Torreira and Matteo Guendouzi, but Emery should further strengthen his midfield options before the start of the season.

N’Zonzi is a brilliant central midfielder who possesses a number of qualities to flourish in the Arsenal midfield. The former Stoke man possesses impressive distribution skills in the middle of the park. He is comfortable at shifting the ball by playing short and quick passes.

The 29-year-old is also capable of playing as a defensive midfielder and often sits effortlessly in front of the defence. He averaged 1.7 tackles per game in the La Liga last season, showing his prowess as a deep-lying midfielder.

Everton

Marco Silva has already added the likes of Richarlison to the Everton squad. The Brazilian was fantastic under the manager at former club Watford but N’Zonzi could be next to join the Hornets. The club are said to be interested in his services (h/t The Mirror).

The Toffees have already sold flop signing Davy Klaassen to Werder Bremen after the Dutchman endured a dismal debut season in England. Since N’Zonzi possesses previous Premier League experience and is capable of slotting into a similar role, he should be an enticing prospect for Watford.

In fact, the player could slot in alongside Idrissa Gueye or Morgan Schneiderlin in a 4-3-3 formation. The Frenchman’s ability to surge forward with the ball will help the other forwards thrive.

Bayern Munich

Barcelona have successfully snapped up Bayern Munich midfielder Arturo Vidal. Hence, the German Champions should subsequently make a move for the talented N’Zonzi. The pair possesses a number of similar qualities which would make things easy for the Bavarians.

N’Zonzi may not be as explosive as the Chilean but he is a majestic midfielder. He has plied his trade in the Premier League and the La Liga which should give him enough experience to prosper in the Bundesliga. The 29-year-old’s wide range of passing will be vital to the Bavarians.
