Real Madrid forward Gareth Bale has said that he is open to a return to the Premier League if the opportunity presented itself, as reported by BBC. The Welshman has been on the fringes of the first team over the last season as Zinedine Zidane has preferred other options.
Bale has no doubt been a major part of Real Madrid’s sustained period of dominance in his time at the club. He was a part of the iconic BBC trio which wreaked havoc in Europe and Spain.
However, Bale hasn’t been able to win over the fans as well as the manager, even though he has scored some spectacular goals in clutch games for Madrid club.

Tottenham Hotspur
What better than returning to a club where he first broke out as the phenomenon we know Bale to be. From a speedy left-back to a marauding winger, it was at Spurs where he showed the world what he was capable of.
Spurs are currently in the midst of a rebuild under Jose Mourinho and the signing of a superstar name like Gareth Bale would no doubt help their cause. He has won everything there is and would bring in bags of experience.
Bale could cost Spurs nothing in terms of transfer fees but his wages would be a hindrance if any transfer were to take place, especially as the football world reels from the effect of COVID.
Manchester United
Manchester United’s interest in Gareth Bale goes back to 2013, even before he made his world record transfer to Madrid. Since then, the Old Trafford based outfit has tried to prise him away from Spain on numerous occasions.
Things work a bit differently at the club these days, with the team being built around young players instead of splurging money on superstar names. However, as the club struggles to meet the demands of Borussia Dortmund regarding the transfer of Jadon Sancho, Gareth Bale can be an option they should consider.
United remain one of the few clubs that can afford Bale’s wages and he would solve the whole right-wing problem that still exists in the team. He would also likely be a starter given Mason Greenwood’s young age and the preferred position being up top.
