Why Norwich should go all out to sign Danel Sinani from F91 Dudelange

According to Sky Sports reporter Kaveh Solhekol (h/t The Pink Un), Norwich City are eyeing a deal for F91 Dudelange star Danel Sinani.

Danel Sinani, 22, has notched up 21 goals in 26 club appearances for F91 Dudelange, including four goals in the Europa League this season. He has also registered six assists and notably scored a brace against La Liga side Sevilla during the Europa League group stages.

Norwich City are currently bottom of the Premier League, having won just four matches in the league this season. They were recently beaten 2-1 by Tottenham at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the Premier League.

The Canaries have so far brought in Ondrej Duda on loan and Lukas Rupp during this transfer window. Both Duda and Rupp have made an immediate impact for Daniel Farke’s side in the last two league fixtures. However, Farke’s side need more quality signings before the transfer window slams shut.

Despite acquiring the services of Duda, Norwich still lack quality in the final third of the pitch. Teemu Pukki and Todd Cantwell have consistently scored goals but they have lacked support from the likes of Marco Stiepermann, Onel Hernandez and Emi Buendia.

With Josip Drmic just returning to full fitness after being troubled by a hamstring issue, Dennis Srbeny sealing a move to Germany and Manchester City loanee Patrick Roberts returning to his parent club, Farke should add some much-needed spark to his attack.

To put things simply, the Canaries must go for Danel Sinani. The 22-year-old has three international goals in 14 senior caps and featured in Luxembourg’s European Championship qualifiers this season. A naturally left-footed player who can operate from either flank, Sinani has netted an impressive 21 goals and supplied six assists for F91 Dudelange this season.

His ability to play on either flank would also bring about a healthy competition for places within Norwich’s attacking ranks. The 22-year-old’s capacity to create and score goals would be a plus for Farke’s side, who have scored only 24 goals in as many league games.

Verdict

With the threat of relegation looming large, Norwich must secure the 22-year-old’s signature to boost their attack.
