WWE on-screen official Adam Pearce has played it safe after a fan confronted him on Twitter over Roman Reigns winning the main event at WrestleMania 37, rather controversially.
‘The Big Dog’ beat Edge and Daniel Bryan at WrestleMania 37, thereby successfully defending his universal championship. However, there were a lot of eyebrows raised due to the way the fight panned out.
A cracker of a match saw Roman Reigns pinning both Edge and Daniel Bryan to retain his Universal championship belt. A lot of fans raised questions about this since they felt ‘The Rated R Superstar’ should have won the fight as he was on top of Bryan when Reigns pinned them both.
A fan on Twitter tweeted, also tagging Adam Pearce:
Adam Pearce replied that it was an interesting take.
However, his words ‘Interesting Take’ was misunderstood by quite a lot of fans, especially those of ‘The Big Dog’. A fan, therefore, decided to confront Pearce saying that he needed an eye test if he felt that Edge was the winner.
Hence, Pearce put out a post saying what an interesting take really meant.
He captioned the post:
“On this #GratiTuesday I’m grateful for THE DICTIONARY, which affords me the opportunity to understand that saying someone has an “interesting take” on something does not actually in any way imply that I agree, accept, or adopt it as my own.”
However one hardcore Roman Reigns wasn’t giving up, and asked Pearce to get his eye checked if he believed that Edge won the fight.
The fan’s tweet read :
“Hey @ScrapDaddyAP You know full well Roman is the true Universal champion. Edge might have been on top of Bryan but @WWERomanReigns put him there and pinned both. Both had their shoulders on the mat. If you can’t see that maybe an eye test is needed.”
Following this Tweet, Pearce once again pointed out to what an interesting take meant, by linking his previous tweet of the same.
Bubba Ray Dudley reveals who he thinks can beat Roman Reigns
After Roman Reigns’ successful title defense at Wrestlemania 37, it has left a lot of fans believing that Bryan or Edge won’t be able to get hold of the title from the ‘Tribal Chief’ anytime soon.
And likewise, WWE Hall of Famer Bubba Ray Dudley has claimed the same. But, not before going on to say that Brock Lesnar will be the one to get that Universal Championship belt from ‘The Big Dog.
Speaking of which, Dudley said:
“If it’s not Edge, it’s Brock Lesnar. I want to see the look on [Paul] Heyman’s face when Brock veers a hit. Give me The Beast versus Roman all day long.”
