Nate Diaz is set to make a big UFC return and it is to be seen who his next opponent is going to be

Nate Diaz might not have fought since losing to Jorge Masvidal for the BMF belt, but he remains one of the biggest names in the business.

The fight took place in November 2019 and remains one of the biggest fights in the history of the UFC. Diaz hasn’t been in action since but Dana White opened up about the 35-year-old’s plans for 2021.

The UFC president was speaking to The Mac Life and confirmed that a return is on the cards.

However, White was quick to add that the fight would not be against Tony Ferguson. Ferguson is coming off two losses but he too is one of the biggest names in the UFC Lightweight division.

Masvidal or someone else?

The fight between Masvidal and Diaz for the BMF title ended via a doctor’s stoppage. Diaz had a horrible cut but wanted to continue fighting.

Masvidal has become one of the biggest names in the business since that win and he too is coming off a loss against Kamaru Usman for the UFC Welterweight title.

Some fans predicted that this would be a rematch. However, there have been rumours of Masvidal taking on Colby Covington next.

There were some other big names thrown by the fans. Justin Gaethje, Conor McGregor and even Paul Felder was brought up.

It is to be seen who White sets Diaz up with but the UFC fans had their own predictions. Diaz returning is big news for the fans and the UFC and whoever he faces, it is going to be an incredible outing.
