Snoop Dogg is the first cousin of WWE superstar Sasha Banks
Snoop Dogg was a guest on this week’s Dynamite and he connected a glorious splash on Serpentico. He did need some help, and a lot of time to execute it, but we will let that slide because he is 49 years old, and well, not a wrestler.
The rapper even pinned Serpentico, with Cody Rhodes making the count. That was not official though, but it did make for some great TV viewing, which is all that the promotion would have wanted when they booked the rapper as a guest.
His appearance was advertised well in advance, and he went on to play a prominent role on the episode, inside the ring, as well as on the backstage.
Sasha Banks has a hilarious name for Snoop Dogg’s splash
Amongst the people watching the show on Wednesday was WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion, Sasha Banks. Banks, who is cousins with Snoop Dogg, replied to a fan asking what the name of the move was.
The Boss replied with “The Snoopy Slash”. She even shared an edited photo on Instagram where Snoop Dogg is photoshopped in her triple threat match at WrestleMania against Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair.
This is not Snoop Dogg’s first venture in wrestling. In fact, he is a WWE Hall of Famer and has been a regular guest on the promotion.
He was inducted into the celebrity wing of the prestige Hall of Fame in 2016. just before WrestleMania 32. With his history with WWE, it is safe to say that the promotion would not have been too happy to know about his gimmick on AEW.
