AEW vs NXT ratings: Another week in the battle for the ratings, and another win for AEW.
WWE and AEW have been battling extremely hard over the past year or so when their shows clashed at the same time slot.
Dynamite, AEW’s weekly show, got off to a slow start but has been able to usurp NXT in recent months.
While NXT was considered as the best show WWE had in terms of wrestling, it has lagged behind AEW for a while now.
There were more problems for WWE when AEW Dynamite’s ratings beat those of the most recent Raw. That was helped by Sting making an appearance and of course, Kenny Omega winning the title and running off to Impact Wrestling.
Tony Khan also made his appearance thanks to a hilarious ad placement on Impact but how did AEW do this week?
AEW vs NXT ratings
This week, AEW again got the better of NXT in the ratings and viewership race. While it didn’t break the numbers that Raw brought up, it still easily beat the Black and Gold brand of WWE.
Dynamite got in an average of 806,000 viewers over their two hours. Sting, again, made an appearance and so did Omega and Don Callis.
There were some other interesting story lines from AEW too with some great tag matches.
WWE, for their part, had a huge main event with Rhea Ripley fighting Toni Storm. They also found out that Kyle O’Reilly would be the next challenger for Finn Balor after a huge win over Pete Dunne.
However, the numbers for NXT were only 766,000 over the two hours. NXT also had Johnny Gargano and Candice LeRae showing off their new stable The Way, but that wasn’t enough to save the Black and Gold brand from another ratings defeat.
