Barber started practising for MMA at a young age and has a brother, Wyatt, who is also a fighter at Bellator.

She continued that winning streak after making her UFC debut in 2018. Barber defeated Hannah Cifers at Fight Night: Korean Zombie vs Rodriguez.

She then defeated JJ Aldrich and Gillian Robertson to go 8-0 in his career. Roxanne Modafferi was her first professional MMA loss and that also snapped her eight-fight winning streak.

She then lost her return to the UFC after a knee injury as she lost via unanimous decision to Alexa Grasso at UFC 258.
