Anderson Silva had some great words to share ahead of his clash against Uriah Hall but also shared a cryptic message before his possible last UFC fight

Anderson Silva could be stepping into the UFC Octagon for the final time this Saturday as he faces Uriah Hall.

The Brazilian-American will go down as one of the greatest MMA athletes of all-time. Silva won several titles before coming to the UFC and held the Middleweight title for a record number of consecutive days.

Silva might be 45 and doesn’t have a great record over the past two or three years but his fighting spirit hasn’t died.

The Brazilian posted an emotional message ahead of his next battle, but it also featured a cryptic message.

The video showed Silva training hard for the battle ahead and his words were inspirational for everyone:

“For me, it is not about going inside the cage and fight. For me, it is about passion, love and do something special for yourself.

“Don’t try to prove something for anybody. Just do your best. Because finish the day and go back home, it is only you and your love inside your mind.”

However, the last second of the video suggests that things aren’t done for Silva yet.

What does the future hold for Silva?

The 45-year-old has been on a bit of a slide recently but there is no doubting his spirit and abilities. It would be a major surprise if he did move to another promotion given that his powers are on the wane, but stranger things have happened in MMA.

Silva had also spoken about a possible super-fight with Conor McGregor or Georges St-Pierre. He left that decision with Dana White and that could be the perfect end to his career.

Silva made MMA popular for a lot of people during his time as the champion. He was untouchable before he faced Chris Weidman and that was when it all started going bad.

In the rematch for the title, he broke his leg while trying to kick Weidman, and Silva has never been the same again.

The UFC has been fortunate to see the best of Silva and hopefully, he can sign off on a winning note.
