Israel Adesanya took a jab at a nickname Paulo Costa had given him before their fight

The Last Stylebender, Israel Adesanya, seemed to mock Paulo Costa after sharing a new nickname on social media.

Costa had mocked Adesanya for being too skinny before their UFC 253 fight. The Brazilian had also claimed he would destroy the champion and had made some rather weird comments about testing Adesanya for hormones etc.

However, all that went down the drain from the first second as Adesanya dominated his rival. Costa seemed shell shocked at the champ’s quality and the Middleweight belt remained with the Last Stylebender.

Adesanya celebrated the win wildly by mocking Costa right after the referee called him off. He even brought out a ton of dance moves and shared a message on Twitter.

Adesanya joked his new nickname was “Slim Reaper” after the win over Costa.

Taking Costa to the cleaners

Adesanya might be one of the UFC champions that speaks a lot, but he gets it done in the Octagon.

The 31-year-old is undefeated in his MMA career and had time to mock some of the memes shared by the Brazilian before their fight.

When the dust was settled, it was Adesanya dancing away to glory. The gulf in class between champion and challenger was far too great, and Costa, at times, seemed like this was his first UFC fight.

Credit must be given to Adesanya for making it seem so. His striking was excellent, his control of the Octagon was great too and there seems to be no stopping.

Adesanya improved to 20-0 in his MMA career and it will be interesting to see who he faces next.

The Slim Reaper also took a shot at ending the so-called ‘EA curse’. Basically, any star featured as the cover athlete of an EA game would end up with some bad luck.

Adesanya is one of the cover stars of UFC 4, and even something like an EA curse can’t stop him.
