WWE returns to Saudi Arabia for Super Showdown 2020 and there are some incredible matches on show

WWE continues its tryst with Saudi Arabia with 2020 Super Showdown set to take place with some big matches.

The promotion has visited the Middle East in the past with Crown Jewel one of its biggest PPVs of the year.

Several top stars will travel to the country, except Daniel Bryan, and some incredible matches are in store for fans.

Unlike most PPVs which take place on Sundays, Super Showdown will take place in the middle of the week since.

WWE Super Showdown Date and time

The PPV will take place at the Mohammed Abdu Arena on the Boulevard in Riyadh, on 27 February 2020.

The show is expected to stream from 10:30 PM IST and will be available on the WWE Network.

Sony and Ten should also be showing the PPV live.

WWE Super Showdown matches

As with most PPVs, some incredible matches are on store at the event. There are a few surprise clashes too but the match card has the potential to put on a great show.

Tag titles on the line

Both the Raw and SmackDown tag team titles are on the line in Saudi Arabia.

The New Day (Kofi Kingston and Big E) will be challenged by the pairing of John Morrison and The Miz.

Morrison returned to WWE recently and has teamed up with the A-Lister.

Seth Rollins and Murphy are also in action as they defend their Raw titles against The Street Profits.

All four teams have their pros and cons, and it wouldn’t be a surprise if one of the titles change hands.

Women’s title match

Only one title from the Women’s division is to be defended at the show. Bayley will be going up against Naomi, and that will be a historic moment in Saudi Arabia.

Naomi recently won a clash to become the No.1 contender, and it will be interesting to see how this match goes.

The cage match

Roman Reigns and Baron Corbin will continue their rivalry in Saudi Arabia. This has been going on since Survivor Series and the pair even threw dog food at each other in recent months.

The Big Dog takes on Corbin in a steel cage match, and this should be a brutal affair.

Corbin is an exceptional heel while the fans should back Reigns to pick up the win.

Tuwaiq Trophy

As with most of these Saudi shows, there is a special trophy up for grabs. This time, it is the Tuwaiq trophy with a gauntlet match in place.

Rey Mysterio, Truth, Erick Rowan, Bobby Lashley, Andrade and AJ Styles are the six men battling it out for the crown.

Big title clashes

Brock Lesnar will defend his title against Ricochet. However, with Drew McIntyre waiting at WrestleMania, it should be the Beast retaining his WWE Championship against the high-flyer.

The big surprise match sees Bray Wyatt/The Fiend defend his Universal title against Goldberg.

The legend returned recently to spear Wyatt, however, this match should be too much for Goldberg and The Fiend should win.
