The U19 Bangladesh boys won their maiden World Cup by beating reigning champions India by three wickets
The new U19 World Cup champions Bangladesh displayed great character when they picked up and moved aside the litter thrown on the field during their victory lap.
The Bangladesh colts on Sunday defeated defending champions India by three wickets via the Duckworth-Lewis method to claim their first-ever under-19 World Cup.
This was also the first time that Bangladesh has won an ICC event which led to the players, staff, and fans celebrating to the utmost. The celebrations, however, went a little too far that some ugly scenes erupted after the final.
A scuffle broke out between players from both the camps after the celebrations went a little wild, provoking a few members of the Indian side.
Coaches and staff from both sides had to intervene to sort out the issue before it could have tarnished the reputation of the gentleman’s game.
However, the happy Bangladesh players produced something extraordinary when they showed true character by clearing the litter thrown by fans while taking a victory lap around the field.
TRUE CHAMPIONS 👏
