Liam Livingstone made 79 for the Perth Scorchers and had a huge six during his innings too
English batsman Liam Livingstone pulled off a huge 106 metre six during a Big Bash League game.
The 26-year-old has been playing for the Perth Scorchers in this season’s Big Bash League and they were up against the Adelaide Strikers.
The Strikers put up a mammoth total while batting first and Livingstone tried to get his team off to a great start.
Michael Neser came in to bowl in the second over and the English batsman didn’t waste any time.
He saw one ball pitched up and whacked it high into the stands. The ball was going at the rate of knots and reached one of the upper tiers of the stadium.

Some fans certainly enjoyed the six and it was one of the biggest in the tournament too:
Someone's got to tell him that he's not going to get 8 or 10 runs for that, he just needs to hit it just over the ropes. Why he hits it so hard😂.

Livingstone has to be in Englands T20 side 🔥

The number doesn't justify the actual distance..
Simply an outrageous hit!

The six was measured at 106 metres as Livingstone made an impressive 79 from 54 balls. The 26-year-old top-scored for his side and had seven sixes in total, but that wasn’t enough for Perth.
Livingstone has been in great touch in the Big Bash League but could have done with more support.
No other batsman scored more than 17 in their chase and they ultimately lost out by 16 runs.
The Strikers just about survive
Had another Scorcher batsman scored a few more runs, it could have been a different story.
The Strikers had Phil Salt to thank for their impressive 181/5 from their 20 overs.
Salt had seven fours and two sixes while the Travis Head and Jake Weatherald both scored 35 runs each.
There were decent contributions from Alex Carey and Jonathan Wells too as the Strikers put up their total.
