Rose Namajunas could face her old rival Jessica Andrade in her next fight

Multiple sources claim that Namajunas vs Andrade is close to being finalised and will take place in Brooklyn on 18 April.

This is set to be a rematch from May where it was Andrade that came out with the win. Namajunas lost her Strawweight title and the 27-year-old hasn’t been seen in action since.

The American hinted that she could be set for retirement but recently spoke of Helwani’s MMA Show and wants to continue fighting.

Namajunas claimed she lost the appetite to fight but now she is ready after meeting one of her coaches from early on in her amateur career.

It will be interesting to see if Namajunas and Andrade are set to meet at UFC 249. That event is already stacked and has one major fight confirmed.

Namajunas hasn’t fought much at UFC

Although Namajunas only has 12 MMA fights in her career, she has won several titles and awards during her short span in the business.

She has an 8-4 record in the UFC and has never lost an amateur or exhibition fight. The 27-year-old won the UFC Strawweight title once in her career and won several other awards due to her win over upset win over Joanna Jędrzejczyk.
