NXT was the star of the show at Survivor Series 2019 and Keith Lee had some great moments.
Triple H must be a happy man following Survivor Series as his band of NXT stars were able to outlast the main-roster shows by a big margin.
NXT secured four wins whereas Raw and SmackDown had one and two victories respectively in the cross-brand matches.
One such match happened to be the Raw vs. SmackDown vs. NXT 5-on-5 Survivor Series match from the men’s division.
This was one of the exceptions where NXT failed to win as the franchise player of the WWE, Roman Reigns appeared to be a rock-solid barrier against them.
The last man he eliminated from NXT was Lee and helped SmackDown pick up one of the two wins.
The NXT star earned the respect of the Big Dog with his crazy moves throughout the match.
In return, the prime babyface of the company put him over with the below tweet predicting that this won’t be the last time they meet in the ring.
SmackDown comes out on top in men’s clash
The men’s division Survivor Series traditional elimination match featured Roman Reigns as SmackDown Team Captain. Tommaso Ciampa as the captain from the NXT team who chose Keith Lee to be one of the members.
The full lineup of the match was Captain Seth Rollins, Randy Orton, Ricochet, Kevin Owens, Drew McIntyre vs. Captain Tommaso Ciampa, Keith Lee, Matt Riddle, Damian Priest, WWE UK Champion WALTER vs. Captain Roman Reigns, Shorty G, Ali, King Baron Corbin, Braun Strowman.
Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns and Keith Lee were the final three standing in the ring from Raw, SmackDown and NXT in this Survivor Series match.
Lee hit a Jackhammer to eliminate Rollins from the match which might have been the biggest pinfall achievement of his career.
He was a second away from pinning Reigns, as well after hitting the Spirit Bomb. But the SmackDown star kicked out of that forcing Lee to climb the top rope going for a Moonsault.
He had a bad landing as Roman dodged the move. Reigns connected with the spear to get the vital win on behalf of SmackDown at Survivor Series.
Both Roman Reigns and Keith Lee showed respect to each other once the match concluded that earned appreciation from the Chicago crowd.
I’m sure they would be happy to see these two tearing the house down in the near future when Lee makes his main roster debut.
