WWE TLC is one of the popular gimmick-based annual shows hosted by the company
Since its innovation back in 2009, WWE has always kept TLC in the PPV calendar each year.
The upcoming edition is going to be the final pay-per-view for 2019 but is yet to be confirmed by the WWE. But the local promotions have already started to make the show a sell-out.
In case you don’t know, the Target Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota will host WWE TLC 2019.
It is currently advertising some of the fights for the December 15th show where most of the matches will have some sort of stipulation.
Perhaps the most interesting one is going to be a ‘Dog Collar’ match featuring the franchise player of the company, Roman Reigns.
Current Match Card of WWE TLC
At present, WWE TLC will have the first-ever Women’s TLC Tag Team Match with Asuka and Kairi Sane defending their WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles against Charlotte Flair and RAW Women’s Champion Becky Lynch (h/t WrestlingINC.com)
Rusev vs. Bobby Lashley is on the card whereas Roman Reigns vs. King Corbin in a TLC match has also been announced for the PPV event.
Recent updates from WrestlingINC.com hinted that the stipulation may eventually get changed at some point.
A Dog Collar match is being discussed among the WWE officials that could be a huge attraction for the audience. They have not witnessed such a gimmicked match in recent memory.
Rules of a Dog Collar match
In this particular stipulation, the opponents would get tied to each other through dog collars while competing. It does not allow them to get separated at any point in the match.
Normal pinfall or submissions count to declare the outcome of the match alongside another way to gain the win. A superstar can also touch the four corners of the ring, consecutively to pick up the victory.
The rumored Rusev vs. Bobby Lashley match was originally set for Survivor Series which has now been removed from the card.
The following reason has been cited by wrestlingINC.com due to which the love triangle may culminate at WWE TLC.
Reigns is one of the best in the business and it will be interesting to see how he does first at Survivor Series.
The Big Dog will lead a team of top wrestlers from Raw and goes up against SmackDown and NXT.
This Survivor Series will be special given NXT’s involvement too.
Several of the matches are triple threat in nature, and this PPV could be one of the best of the year.
