Predicted Arsenal XI to face Everton in the Premier League

Arsenal cruised to a comfortable 2-0 victory over Newcastle United in their previous outing in the Premier League, thanks to goals from Aaron Ramsey and Alexandre Lacazette.

Unai Emery’s men will once again be strong favourites when they make the trip to Goodison Park to face Everton in the Premier League on Sunday.

Chelsea drew level on points with the Gunners after an emphatic 3-0 victory over Brighton in the mid-week fixture and the onus will be on the north Londoners to stamp their authority in the top-four race when they lock horns with Everton.

Everton beat West Ham 2-0 in their previous game in the Premier League and Marco Silva’s side will be hoping to upset the odds and come away with at least a point from this home fixture.

Lucas Torreira serves his red-card suspension while Aaron Ramsey (thigh) and Granit Xhaka (groin) are struggling with minor knocks, although both of them are expected to be ready to face Everton.

Laurent Koscielny is doubtful to play a part due to a foot injury while Rob holding, Hector Bellerin and Danny Welbeck are all long-term absentees for the Gunners.

Formation: 3-4-1-2

Manager: Unai Emery

Predicted XI

1. Bernd Leno (GK)

The German didn’t have an awful lot to do between the sticks against Newcastle but he has been up to the mark whenever he has been called into action.

2. Sokratis (CB)

The Greek international completely outmuscled Salomon Rondon in the last game and he will have his work cut out against a potent Everton attack.

3. Shkodran Mustafi (RCB)

The German international has endured a horrible time this season and has looked far too error-prone to rely upon but Emery might be forced to field him once again due to Koscielny’s absence.

4. Nacho Monreal (LCB)

The Spaniard has adjusted well to a quarterback role and should surely start on Sunday.

5. Sead Kolasinac (LWB)

He contributed a lot going forward against Newcastle and linked up really well with Ozil but Arsenal will need him to cope with Everton’s pacy wingers.

6. Ainsley Maitland-Niles (RWB)

The youngster once again impressed with all-around contribution and tireless running down the right against Newcastle and Emery should hand him another start.

7. Matteo Guendouzi (LCM)

The Frenchman has proven himself to be a massive bargain for Arsenal and has caught the eye with his consistent performances in the midfield.

8. Aaron Ramsey (RCM)

The Welshman came up with a sublime finish in the last game and the Gunners will be banking on him to work those pockets of space in the final third on Sunday.

9. Mesut Ozil (CAM)

The German has slipped down the pecking order under Emery but he showed some nice touches and contributed a lot to the build-up play in the last game.

10. Alexandre Lacazette (ST)

He proved his clinical nature in front of goal with a crafty finish in the previous outing and Arsenal will need him to fire on all cylinders once again.
