Three strikers Crystal Palace can target instead of Chelsea star Tammy Abraham
Crystal Palace needs reinforcements and having sent out Alexander Sorloth on loan, they need another striker to help them battle relegation and survival. However, Roy Hodgson’s answer to that problem was recalling Jordan Ayew from loan on Swansea City and while the 27-year-old did score against Wolves, he is not the answer.
Now, the Mirror has reported that Palace have entered the race for on-loan Chelsea star Tammy Abraham with the 21-year-old on loan with Aston Villa. However, the Mirror further adds that Palace were also in the race for Dominic Solanke before Bournemouth swooped in but are now open to other options.
#3 Breel Embolo
The 21-year-old has struggled since his move to Schalke 04, scoring just 9 goals since his arrival in the Bundesliga. However, the former FC Basel star has shown that he can score goals, ending his career with the Swiss outfit 31 goals and 22 assists in 90 appearances. That not only shows Breel Embolo’s talents in front of the goal but his creativity as well.
A versatile star, like Wilfried Zaha, Embolo has also adjusted his style of play to use his strength and pace to become a centre-forward in recent seasons. And while that has improved his output, he still struggles at Schalke. While injuries have played a massive role in that with the 21-year-old losing almost a year thanks to an ankle problem, maybe a move could do him good.
#2 Patrik Schick
The 22-year-old has struggled in the Serie A, that’s a sad fact but despite all the promise Schick showed at Sampdoria, his time at Roma has been the exact opposite. Joining AS Roma on loan last season, the Czech Republic star managed only 2 goals in 27 appearances, playing alongside Edin Dezko in Eusebio Di Francesco’s side.
This season has seen Patrik Schick score 2 goals but that’s come in 18 appearances, which is a drastic comparison to his Sampdoria days. In his first and only season with the Serie A side, Schick scored 13 goals in 35 appearances producing five assists as well, but more importantly showcased what made him a valuable centre-forward.
His hold-up play, combined with his strength and agility, made him a valuable assest, something that made Roma make a move for him. Now having made the move permanent over the summer, there is a chance they send him back on loan to gain some confidence, but that’s only if Palace ask.
The 22-year-old has been at his best this season for Belgian giants Club Brugge, scoring 10 goals in just 27 appearances producing a further six assists this season alone. While he struggled in the Champions League, Wesley did finish the season with two goals in 6 appearances.
He joined the Belgian outfit in 2016 and has since then made 109 appearances, scoring 31 goals in all competitions. However, what makes him a useful target is the fact that his pace and strength like many others on this list but it’s his ability to give everything and his competitive nature that will help Crystal Palace if they do decide to make a move.
Not to mention his versatility to play as a right winger and an attacking midfielder simply adds to his value and could make him a valuable player for the Eagles.
Tottenham hijacking Liverpool’s move for this 22-year-old Bundesliga winger would be a massive statement of intent
Tottenham Hotspur Opinions: Spurs must move for young Julian Brandt
Julian Brandt is a young German midfielder who currently plies his trade for one of the German Bundesliga’s top clubs – Bayer Leverkusen, where he is often utilised in the left-wing role by the manager.
Born in 1996 and still only 22 years old, Brandt has certainly made a name for himself in the footballing world and while his performances have motivated various suitors, it’s quite clear that he has the quality and ability to play for one of Europe’s top clubs.
Having up the ranks at Borgenfeld and then Wolfsburg, Brandt was signed by Leverkusen back in 2014 as a teenager. He has developed into one of the most exciting German wingers and his services are extremely sought after.
A report from Calcio Mercato has arisen suggesting that Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid and Liverpool are all keen on signing the German winger who would have a €25m release clause activated in his contract if Leverkusen fail to qualify for the Champions League at the end of the term.
With that said, one club who could really use the prodigious winger’s services are Premier League giants Tottenham Hotspur who should look to pounce and take over the deal in an attempt to lure the German to the newly reopened White Hart Lane rather than Anfield or Santiago Bernabeu.
His movement down the left hand side would open a whole new avenue of possibilities for this stacked Tottenham attacking and he could easily oust the likes of Erik Lamela and Lucas Moura to a place in the team, given his immense quality.
He has the right attributes to complement the skill-sets of the core Spurs players like Christian Eriksen and Dele Alli. Also, his crosses are considered to be extremely dangerous and for a team that boasts a forward like Harry Kane, signing this youngster would be like striking gold.
His pace and trickery will suit the pace and dynamism of the English game while Mauricio Pochettino’s distinct attacking style of football could be the ideal system to bring the best out of this talented youngster.
With 10 assists and 4 goals to his name from the 25 times he’s played in the Bundesliga this season, he has really impressed in a Leverkusen shirt while his 23 caps for his country Germany has enabled him to notch up 2 goals as well.

With the Madrid sides and Liverpool circling, it will certainly be difficult for Spurs to acquire the youngster’s services but if they’re able to pull it off it will be a massive coup by Pochettino which is assured to have positive results for the north-London club.
Chelsea would strike gold by signing any of these 3 players to replace Mateo Kovacic – including this 20-year-old Ligue 1 prodigy
Chelsea Opinion: These 3 players are all good alternatives to Kovacic
Chelsea’s first season under the managership of former Napoli coach Maurizio Sarri has been far from a fairy tale. Although it began with a great unbeaten run,
Having drawn blanks in many games this season, Chelsea’s midfield has been blamed time and again because they’re unable to provide any real passes of meaning. With sideways movement and back-passes becoming a highlight of Chelsea’s play, a change is certainly in order.
To make matters worse, Mateo Kovacic is yet to open his scoring account for the Blues. With only a small part of the season left, whether or not he will return to Madrid remains a mystery and it’s one that Chelsea can’t afford take a risk on.
Bringing in an able replacement would certainly be in the best interest of the club.
Here are the 3 players that Chelsea can bring in to replace Kovacic next season:
The German international midfield player is currently employed by Hoffenheim in Bundesliga but has showcased his supreme quality on enough occasions to warrant a move to one of Europe’s biggest clubs.
Excellent on the ball and with sublime vision from midfield, the 25-year-old would slot right into the middle of the Chelsea core and could easily replicate the 4 goals and 4 assists that he’s got from 18 Bundesliga appearances this season.
Olympique Lyon’s midfield prodigy Aouar has been touted for great things in the future given his amazing dribbling and ball control abilities. Added to the fact that he is displays such amazing quality at just 20, should be enough motivation for the Blues to make a move for him.
Having scored 6 and assisted 6 from his 27 Ligue 1 appearances this term, the French youth international is known for his work rate and would be the perfect partner for Chelsea’s midfield engine N’Golo Kante.
Another young German star being developed by Borussia Dortmund’s endless production line of a youth academy, Dahoud is said to be the complete midfield who is both supremely talented on the ball and is also adept at reading play off it.

With just 18 appearances all season for Dortmund, the youngster could be tempted with the possibility of more game time at Chelsea and with an attacking manager like Maurizio Sarri at the helm, the talented 23-year-old can only grow from here.
Everton going all out to sign this creative World Cup-winning ace would be a shrewd move by Silva – Here is why
Everton Opinion: Why Marco Silva should go all out to sign Mario Gotze?
In 2014, Mario Gotze scored the winner for Germany against Argentina in the World Cup final. Fast forward five years and Germany’s golden boy is struggling to revive his career.
Mario Gotze, 26, burst out in the scene in 2009 at Borussia Dortmund as a teenager and played a big part in the club’s Bundesliga-winning squad of the 2010–11 season under then manager Jurgen Klopp. He was also a crucial cog when Dortmund retained the title, despite injury limiting him to just 26 appearances then.
The German enjoyed two prolific seasons at Bayern Munich but since the 2015-16 campaign, his form has fallen off the clip. Injuries have mightily hampered Gotze’s career but now slowly getting back to his best again in Dortmund colours, Everton should take a punt on him this summer.
Everton have had an inconsistent season first season under Marco Silva. The Toffees look short on real quality in every area of the pitch, especially in defence and the attack.
They need to invest heavily in the summer to solve their defensive woes after leaking goals for fun this season. Plus, a prolific goalscorer has to also be on Silva’s shopping list if the Merseyside outfit are to challenge for Europe next term.
Gotze’s productivity in front of goal has diminished in the past few seasons but his ability to create chances in the final third and assist his teammates remain unrivaled.
Gylfi Sigurdsson is the only Everton player who can operate in between the lines, link the play between midfield and attack and come up pearlers from set-pieces. The Toffees need much more than the Icelandic midfielder and Gotze would fit the bill perfectly at Goodison Park.
A creative playmaker by trade, Gotze has also excelled in the false 9 role and can play on either wing as well. The German can slip through passes in the final third and open up defences in one blink of an eye.
His movement and sharpness allows him to run comfortably with the ball at his feet. He is also adept at retaining possession and holding onto to the ball, linking up with his teammates and keeping things tick all over.
The former Bayern ace’s creativity, vision and finishing skills coupled with his versatility and work rate should make him a perfect fit for Everton.
It is true that the Merseyside outfit could benefit from adding a player in a similar mould of Gotze as their midfield has often lacked creativity and invention during this campaign.
